Our Together Wild sessions are going online…watch this space!
Together Wild parent and child sessions provide a space where we, as parents, can grow alongside our children. Using nature as our teacher, we will meditate, craft and play our way through the year, building greater compassion for ourselves, others and our beautiful Earth.
“We often forget that we are nature. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we have lost our connection to ourselves” Andy Goldsworthy
In our gatherings, we will foster a deeper connection to the natural world that we are all part of. We will take our inspiration from the flora and fauna, cycles and movements that we can experience here in the UK. Coming together to explore the changing seasons, sharing knowledge and growing alongside each other.
And by coming together in this way, we can feel more grounded in the reality of the natural spaces that we inhabit and perhaps even come to view ourselves differently. Viewing ourselves as natural beings and an integral part of the web of life on this Earth might just encourage us to live in a more natural way - true to our instinct and trusting our own inner wisdom.
Through the short meditations that are an important part of our gatherings, we can all find a little quiet space to connect to who we are on the inside and perhaps to move closer to understanding and appreciating ourselves and what we bring to the world.
“Creativity is the way I share my soul with the world” Brene Brown
The creative process can be a beautiful way to express your inner thoughts and feelings; and what lives inside you, what makes you “you” - that matters. Valuing who you are starts with self-compassion. Being kind to yourself can grow into an abundance of love that ripples out to all those that you share your life with.
Encouraging compassion for ourselves and others is an integral part of Together Wild gatherings and is woven into the very fabric of the sessions. With creativity and play suggestions being put forward every session as a fun and wholly nourishing means of expression and exploration. And yes - adults can play too, because “play keeps us vital and alive. It gives us an enthusiasm for life that is irreplaceable.” (Dr Lucia Capacchione).
